Welcome to Düsseldorf! North Rhine-Westphalia's state capital is full of clichés. Mostly they are not good ones. Düsseldorf is considered snobby, a city of the rich and therefore not very charming. The opposite is often the case. It is one of the most beautiful cities on the Rhine. Düsseldorf is characterized by its art scene with many first-class museums, nice cafes with sustainable coffee and beautiful walks in parks and along the river. You can expect, among other things, the deepest museum in a highway tunnel and the highest bar in Germany in the 240 meter high Rhine Tower. In addition, the third largest Japanese community in Europe lives in Düsseldorf and influences the Rhine metropolis in many places with culinary highlights, a temple and a Japanese garden. The architecture is not only unique in the Media Harbor. Although not as high as in Frankfurt, some of it is at least as spectacular. This is especially true of the new Köbogen II. It impresses with Europe's largest green facade and a remarkable construction! The comparatively smaller size is also one of Düsseldorf's unbeatable advantages on a city trip. Because in this "village" (Düsseldorf literally means "Düssel village"), the distances from one sight to another are often very short! Important note: The 2-3 day tour is planned from Friday to Sunday. Except for details, you can do the trip on all other days of the week. However, some locations are not open on some days! This applies, for example, to the market at Carlsplatz or the Japanese Eco House Temple (both closed on Sundays) or the museums (closed on Mondays). So please check in advance the opening hours or holidays on your travel dates in Düsseldorf to avoid travel frustration...
